Harman is the UK company spun off from Ilford, the name most photographers recognize in black and white paper. You are choosing a surface as well as a base. Fiber has a gloss surface on the classic fiber base, the traditional choice for exhibitions and collections, with the surface depth fiber prints are known for. RC is resin coated with a pearl surface: it stays flat, handles easily, and suits everyday display and portfolio work. Pearl is also the answer if you do not want a glossy print. If you are not sure, pick fiber for gallery and collector work and RC for everything else.
